Grand Re-Opening of Magnolia Clubhouse Shop on June 19th

Posted May 24, 2018 in News Releases

Located in the turn-of-century house at 11027 Magnolia Drive in University Circle, the Magnolia Clubhouse Shop will re-open to the public on Tuesday, June 19 from 10am – 3:30pm. The Shop is run by and for the benefit of Magnolia Clubhouse, a non-profit organization that offers a rehabilitative support program for adults who live with mental illness.

The Shop is one component of the extensive renovation project taking place across the Magnolia Clubhouse campus that also includes the adjacent historic house (11101 Magnolia Drive), as well as a carriage house that is now a clinic. To celebrate the grand re-opening, the Shop will be well-stocked with select furniture, art, decorative items, china, silver, jewelry, antiques, and collectibles.

“The Magnolia Clubhouse Shop is one of the most popular destinations in University Circle because we receive high quality donations from many people who support our mission—so our inventory is always being refreshed,” notes James Ankeny, social worker and staff manager of the Shop. “Our historic home setting is charming, and the renovations will make it even more appealing.”

Revenue from the Shop supports Magnolia Clubhouse operations, as well as providing meaningful work opportunities for Clubhouse members. Any adult with a mental illness diagnosis may become a member (anyone interested should call and schedule a tour).

Parking is available in the circular drive in front of Magnolia Clubhouse; there is also ample metered street parking on Magnolia Drive. Regular hours for the Shop are 10am- 3:30pm on weekdays (Tuesday through Friday) and the first Saturday of each month. Delivery for large items is available for a fee (there is free pick-up for certain items being donated).
