State Rep. Bride Rose Sweeney visits Magnolia Clubhouse

Bride Rose Sweeney is the ranking Democrat on the Ohio House Finance Committee.  Upon election to the Ohio General Assembly, Bride was the first woman ever elected in the district, and served as the youngest member of the General Assembly.  She visited the Clubhouse in December, 2023.

On January 23, 2024 State Rep. Bride Rose Sweeney (D-Westlake) announced House Bill (HB) 45, which will allocate $5.8 billion in mostly federal COVID relief funding to support education, improve mental healthcare infrastructure, and strengthen caregiving networks across Ohio, was signed into law.

“As the Ranking Member on Finance, I am pleased to support the passage of this long-overdue and transformational legislation,” said Rep. Sweeney. 

Rep. Sweeney enjoyed her visit to the Clubhouse, which included a tour, lunch, and an interview filmed by our Communications Unit.  She spoke with members and staff about the importance of organizations like Magnolia Clubhouse as part of the continuum of care and services for people with mental illness.
